Condition Guide

Every piece in the Archive Amalia collection has lived a life before arriving here. Signs of age and wear are part of the nature of vintage and archival fashion.

Each piece is individually inspected and assigned a condition rating based on its overall appearance, wear, and any notable imperfections. Significant flaws will also be disclosed within the individual product listing.

10/10 - PRISTINE

Exceptional condition with virtually no visible signs of wear. May appear unworn or exceptionally well preserved for its age.

9/10 - EXCELLENT

Beautifully preserved with very minimal signs of previous wear. Any imperfections are minor and do not detract from the overall appearance of the piece.

8/10 - VERY GOOD

Well-preserved vintage condition with light, expected signs of wear consistent with age.

Minor imperfections may be present but do not significantly affect the overall appearance or wearability.

7/10 - GOOD

Visible signs of previous wear and/or age are present. The piece remains beautiful, collectible, and wearable, but may show imperfections such as light discoloration, surface wear, small marks, pulls, or other age-related characteristics.

Archive Amalia specializes in vintage, archival, and collectible fashion. These pieces should not be expected to present as newly manufactured garments.

Variations, patina, and subtle signs of age are inherent to vintage fashion and contribute to the history of each piece. We photograph and describe our pieces as accurately as possible so you can understand their condition before purchasing.
